The agreement
Screenshot Sense is a Windows app by Home Field, published by Farmen Capital LLC, United States ("we," "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and Farmen Capital LLC for the app, however you installed it, and for the Screenshot Sense pages on homefield.tv. By using the app you accept them.
How the app handles your captures is in the privacy policy, which is part of this agreement. If you bought through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft's own terms also apply to that purchase.
The trial
The app runs a 14-day trial from the first time you open it, with every feature on. It needs no account and no card. The trial is tracked on your PC. When it ends, buy a license to keep using the app.
What the lifetime license covers
The license is a one-time purchase, $29 at launch and $39 after that, planned. It is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Screenshot Sense for your own use. It does not expire and there is no renewal.
It covers the app on Windows and nothing else:
- Screen, window, and region capture, the editor, history, and the toolbar.
- Everything the app does on your PC: text recognition, barcode and QR decoding, code and number checks, app and File Explorer details, error explanations, and the scam and sensitive content checks.
- Updates to the Windows app, for as long as we publish them.
It does not cover anything that costs us money to run. Cloud identification, research lookups, image generation, virtual try-on, cloud shopping, cloud history, and cloud backups are not part of the license at any price. Those need Basic or Plus. This is deliberate: a one-time payment cannot fund a recurring cost, and we would rather say so than quietly meter you later.
Your license is a signed token that the app checks on your own PC. It never contacts a server to find out whether you are licensed, and it keeps working offline forever. Do not share, resell, or publish your license key. We may withdraw a license that was obtained fraudulently or charged back.
You may not copy, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the app, sell access to it, or take it apart to work around the license check, except where the law gives you that right regardless.
The license is for the Windows app only. Picture Sense on iPhone and Android is a separate product with its own terms.
The optional subscriptions
Two optional monthly plans cover the features that run on our servers. One subscription is per Home Field account and works on Windows, iPhone, and Android, so buying on two platforms does not give you two subscriptions.
| Plan | Planned price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $3.99 per month, planned | Cloud identification and research lookups, within a monthly allowance. |
| Plus | $6.99 per month, planned | Everything in Basic, plus monthly generation credits, cloud shopping, cloud history, and cloud backups. |
| Credit packs | Planned, sizes not set | Extra generation credits beyond the Plus allowance. |
A subscription needs a Home Field account, because it has to be checked on our side before we spend money with a provider. Generation credits are held before a call and released if the job fails, so you are not charged for our errors. Monthly allowance credits expire at the end of the period they were granted for; credits bought in a pack do not expire. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not refundable except where the law requires it.
When an allowance runs out the app says so and offers the next step. It does not keep spending silently and it does not quietly drop you to a cheaper model.
A lapsed subscription never disables capture, the editor, or anything the license covers. The cloud features show as upsells rather than as errors.
Billing, renewal, and refunds
- Where you buy. Direct purchases go through Stripe. Microsoft Store purchases go through Microsoft, under Microsoft's terms and refund policy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, at the price shown when you subscribed. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep access until the period you paid for ends.
- Refunds. The trial is 14 days with every feature on, so you can decide before you pay. If something is wrong, write to us and we will make it right. Microsoft Store purchases follow Microsoft's refund policy, which we do not control.
- Refunded or charged-back purchases lose the license or the subscription and any unspent credits from that purchase. Credits already spent on completed work are not reclaimed.
- Price changes. The lifetime price you paid is the price you paid; we never bill you again for the license. A subscription price change takes effect at your next renewal, after notice, and you can cancel before it applies.
What AI output is, and is not
Screenshot Sense uses AI models to identify things, explain them, and look things up. Read this before you rely on any of it.
- It can be wrong. Identification, extracted text, tables, contacts, calendar details, receipt fields, error explanations, and research answers are best-effort output. Check anything that matters before you act on it.
- Extraction is not proofreading. Text recognition misreads characters. Check a number before you put it in a spreadsheet, an invoice, or a payment.
- Generated images are labeled. Any image a model produced carries a visible AI-generated label. Do not present one as a real screenshot or photograph.
- Safety checks are best-effort. The scam check, the sensitive-content check, and the link check work by recognizing patterns and they can miss something. They are a help, not a guarantee. Do not treat a clean result as proof that a link or a message is safe.
- Not professional advice. Nothing the app produces is medical, legal, financial, safety, or appraisal advice.
- Models change. The same capture can produce different output on different days, and we may change which models we use.
Shopping results and prices
The app shows listings and prices from third-party marketplaces and retailers. We do not sell anything and we are not a party to any purchase you make.
- Every price carries the provider it came from and the time it was read. A price is what that provider reported at that moment, not an offer from us. Check it on the retailer's own page before you buy.
- A result is labeled Exact item, Likely item, Similar item, or Inspired by. Only Exact item is a claim that the listing is the thing in your capture. Treat the other three as suggestions.
- Some links earn us a commission and the card says so when one does. Offers are sorted by price, cheapest first, whether or not they earn one.
- The app never completes a purchase and never opens a retailer without asking you first.
Your captures stay yours
You keep every right you have in your captures and in what the app produces from them. We claim no ownership, and in Local Only mode we never see any of it.
When you use a feature that sends a capture out, you give us permission to transmit and process that capture only to run the feature you asked for. That permission ends when the work ends. We do not use your captures to train or fine-tune our models.
You must have the right to capture and use what is on your screen. Capturing someone else's copyrighted or confidential material can break the law or an agreement you have made, and that is your responsibility, not ours.
Acceptable use
Do not use Screenshot Sense to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- capture material you are not allowed to capture, or monitor another person without their knowledge;
- extract credentials, payment details, or identity documents belonging to someone else;
- work around a limit, an allowance, a safety refusal, or the license check;
- resell, scrape, or redistribute the app or its output as a product of your own;
- attack or overload our service or a provider we call.
If you break these rules we may withdraw a license or close an account. Where we can, we tell you why first.
Open-source software and updates
The app includes open-source components, each under its own license. The full list is in Third-party licenses. Nothing in these terms limits a right an open-source license gives you in that component.
The app can install updates. Updates are signed and the app checks the signature before installing one.
Availability and changes
Screenshot Sense is in development. Features can change, be delayed, or be withdrawn, and we do not promise any particular uptime for the cloud features. A provider we depend on can fail or change its terms, and some features stop working when that happens. Features that run on your PC keep working offline.
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and the effective date at the top always says when the current version started.
Disclaimers and liability
Screenshot Sense is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Farmen Capital LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here removes a right you have under consumer law that cannot be waived where you live.
Microsoft is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for Screenshot Sense or for support of it.
